Something by the Beatles

It is almost impossible to create a list of great guitar music without featuring the Beatles. But the band’s status as one of the best bands of all times isn’t just an accident!

Something is one of the more mellow Beatles songs – perfect for lazy moments in the sun. It’s great as an acoustic version and if you are into playing the guitar, this tune is definitely a great song for beginners!

Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd is a great band with some of the best guitar solos of all time. Although the band is well known for its rock songs and riffs, the albums are full of great relaxing songs as well.

Comfortably Numb is definitely worth adding to your playlist when you just want something laid back and fun. The song has even featured as number 314 on the Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Times chart.

The Thrill Is Gone by B.B. King

The master of blues guitar recently passed away and we just had to pick one of B. B. King’s emotional songs on to this list. He wasn’t called the king of blues for no reason. Not only are the deep bending string sounds stunning, but also the low vibrato in his voice makes it impossible to feel stressed listening to this song.

If you are looking for a way to relax after a hard day at work, B. B. King is definitely a great voice to listen to. Although most of his songs will have amazing guitar sounds, the Thrill Is Gone is up there among the best.

I’m Yours by Jason Mraz

Jason Mraz has a great selection of stunning guitar songs that are perfect for lazy Sundays. His songs are wonderfully upbeat while still maintaining the slow, relaxing pace.

I’m Yours is a beautiful guitar song to add to your playlist. It’s also extremely easy to play on the guitar! If you are looking to jam a bit with some friends, this song will be a great pick.

Cavatina by Stanley Myers

Finally, when it comes to relaxing guitar music, the classical Spanish guitar tracks have it all. Among our favourites is a track called Cavatina. It was made popular by the film Deer Hunter and it’s stunningly beautiful and mellow song to listen to.

Stanley Myers composed it in the 1970 and you can find various artists performing the song. One of the most popular versions is the version by John Williams. If you are looking for something classical, then this is definitely worth adding to your playlist.

The above five tracks are all great guitar songs. You’ll be guaranteed to feel refreshed and relaxed after listening to the songs.
